26-27 NEW TEAM

The NCBBA is excited to announce that Oakland University is the 3rd official new team to join the NCBBA-W division for the 2026-2027 season. Welcome Golden Grizzlies.

2026 NCBBA-W NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY

April 10th – 12th, 2026

The National Club Basketball Association is excited to announce the 2026 National Club Basketball Association Women’s National Championship tournament will be held in Erie, PA at Hagerty Family Events Center on April 10th. On April 11th & 12th, the tournament will change locations to the Highmark Events Center. This is the 2nd year the NCBBA-W will have their semi-final games live-streamed. Eight NCBBA-W teams will advance to the National Championship tournament, which is set to take place Friday, April 10th through Sunday, April 12th. The event will be a single elimination, three-day tournament that will ultimately determine the 2026 National Champion. On Saturday (April 11th) we will be hosting the 4th NCBBA-W skills competition.

Hagerty Family Events Center is set to host the first round of the 2026 NCBBA-Women's National Championship on April 10th

Highmark Event Center is set to host the Semi-Finals and Championship of the 2026 NCBBA-Women's National Championship on April 11th and April 12th

Erie Sports Commission instrumental in brining the 2026 Women's Tournament to Erie, PA, Hagerty Family Event Center & Highmark Events Center

The Wingate by Wyndham is one of the Host Hotels for all 2026 NCBBA-Women's National Championship Teams

Airport
If your trip to the NCBBA National Championship requires you to fly, Erie International Airport (ERI) is just 15 minutes from Highmark Event Center and Hagerty Family Event Center.  Visit ErieAirport.org for more details.  Alternate options are Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) and Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) both of which are around a 2 hour drive to Erie.

 

Lodging

The NCBBA has partnered with the Erie Sports Commission to provide discounted host hotel options for the teams and fans alike.  The NCBBA-M is thrilled to announce they have partnered with the Wingate by Wyndham and Hampton Inn to serve as the official host hotels for the 2026 NCBBA-W National Championship Tournament.  All qualifying  teams will be REQUIRED to stay at one of the host hotel properties.

Tickets
All fans interested in attending the 2026 NCBBA National Championship will need to purchase online tickets prior to arrival.  No worries, we still offer day passes and full tournament passes through the online ticketing platform.  Should you arrive at the entry gate without an online ticket, you will be directed to this very online ticketing platform as there will be no on site ticket sales.  These new procedures should help with expediting entry into the complex for all spectators.

Skills/All Star Competition

On Saturday April 11th, beginning at 9am EST, the NCBBA-W will be hosting the 4th annual NCBBA-W Skills Competition.  This competition will be held at Highmark Events Center. Contestants from around the NCBBA-W will be competing in events such as a Three Point Competition and the NCBBA Obstacle Course.

THE 2026 NATIONAL CHAMPION BOSTON COLLEGE EAGLES ARE #1

Boston College is the new #1 receiving all 8 first place votes after winning the 2026 National Championship.

Runner up, Ohio State, at #2, Michigan State at #3, Sacred Heart at #4, and Michigan moves to #5 round out the top 5.

The next item to be released is All-Americans in May. The next poll released will be the 26-27 Preseason poll in October.

The NCBBA is excited to announce that Marist College is the 2nd official new team to join the NCBBA-W division for the 2026-2027 season. Welcome Red Foxes.

BOSTON COLLEGE WINS THRID NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP; HALLIGAN MVP

The #4 Boston College Eagles are your 2026 National Champions! They earn their third title in program history. They defeat a tough Ohio State team by a score of 60-49. Katie Halligan wins MVP honors. She averaged 17ppg, shot 56% from the field, 9rpg, 2asts.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME IS SET!

In game 5 today, #6 Ohio State takes down #7 Sacred Heart by a score of 67-37. Ohio State entered the tournament as an At-Large Bid from the Great Lakes Region. They won the Great Lakes South Regular Season Conference Title. At 8-0 in conference and 22-2 overall, they move into the National Championship title game.

In game 6, #3 Boston College gets a major win over the 2025 defending National Champions and the #8 seed in Michigan State. They get the win by a score of 52-38. Boston College enters the tournament as the New England East Regular Season Conference Champions. They finished with a 13-1 conference record and 16-1 overall. They make their way back to National Championship title game since winning in 2024.

The stage is set. It all ends tomorrow at starting at 10am at the Highmark Events Center!

DAY 1 HAS CONCLUDED; FINAL 4 IS SET

Day 1 has come to an end. In game 1, #4 Boston College defeats #5 Michigan by a score of 59-57. #4 Michigan State moves on to face #8 Michigan State tomorrow at 5:00pm to see who will play for the 2026 National Championship game tomorrow at 10am.

In game 2, #6 Ohio State takes down #3 VCU team by a score of 66-44.

In game 3, #7 Sacred Heart takes down #2 Syracuse by a score of 70-45. #7 Sacred Heart moves on to play #6 Ohio State tomorrow at 12:00pm. The winner will play in the National Championship game Sunday at 10am.

In game 4, #8 Michigan State defeats #1 Cal Poly by a score of 57-44. They will play #4 Boston College tomorrow at 5:00pm to see who will play for the 2026 National Championship on Sunday.

SYRACUSE IS THE NEW #1 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY

Syracuse moves to #1 receiving all 8 first place votes after going undefeated and winning the North Atlantic Regional Tournament.

Cal Poly at #2, VCU at #3, Boston College at #4, and Iowa moves to #5 round out the top 5.
