AFTER GAME 2 RESULTS

In game one of the day between #4 Ohio State and #5 Wash U. STL, #5 Wash U. STL defeats #4 Ohio State 66-48 and moves on to play the winner of Boston College and VCU tonight.

In game two of the day, #6 Sacred Heart takes down #3 Edinboro by a score of 69-51. They move on to the semi-finals to play the winner of #2 Syracuse and #7 Michigan State at 5pm.

BOSTON COLLEGE RECLAIMS THE THRONE

Boston College reclaims #1 after receiving 4 first place votes after winning the New England Regional Tournament over former #1 UMass. They are the #1 seed at the National Championship.  Ohio State and Syracuse receive 1 first place vote each.

Syracuse, Ohio State, Penn, and UMass round out the top 5. 21 teams received votes in the Week 23 poll. While 4 new teams enter the Top 15 this week.

Congratulations to Sacred Heart, Michigan State, and VCU on earning at-large bids to the 2025 NCBBA-W National Championship Tournament.  They will join…

  • University of Pennsylvania (Mid-Atlantic Region Champions)
  • Washington University in St. Louis (Mid America Region Champions)
  • The Ohio State University (Great Lakes Region Champions)
  • Syracuse University (North Atlantic Region Champions)
  • Boston College (New England Region Champions)

The field is set and the Official 2025 NCBBA-W National Championship Tournament Bracket will be released today.

6 TICKETS PUNCHED; 2 AT-LARGE BIDS TO GO

Congratulations to Syracuse for defeating SUNY Cortland to win the North Atlantic Region. Boston College defeats Sacred Heart to defend the New England Region title. Michigan takes down Michigan State to win the Great Lakes Regional title. VCU defeats West Chester to win the Mid-Atlantic Regional Title. Finally, Cal Poly-SLO beats Stanford to win the Pacific Regional title.

2 TICKETS PUNCHED TO THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP; DAY 1 COMES TO AN END

Congratulations to Penn for defeating VCU in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship game by a score of 77-61.

Congratulations to Wash U. STL for defeating Indiana in the Mid America Regional Championship game by a score of 67-61.

Penn and Wash U. are the first two teams to clinch a spot in the National Championship Tournament April 11-13th in Erie, PA.

2025 REGIONALS WEEKEND IS HERE

The NCBBA-Women’s regular season has come to an end. This weekend we will have 6 Regional Tournaments taking place throughout the country with each winner earning an automatic bid to the National Championship Tournament in Erie, PA.

UMASS #1; 2ND STRAIGHT POLL ON TOP

UMass remains #1 after receiving 5 first place votes heading into Regionals weekend as the #1 seed in the New England Regional tournament. Syracuse receives 1 first place vote.

Syracuse, Boston College, Sacred Heart, and Ohio State round out the top 5. 22 teams received votes in the Week 22 poll. While 2 new teams enter the Top 15 this week.
