2022 NCBBA-W National Championship History

Mercyhurst University – Erie, PA – April 22nd – 24th, 2022

2022 was a great year for the NCBBA-W!  After the inaugural season was cut short in 2020 due to the pandemic, the NCBBA-W picked up right where we left off. Owen McCormick Court on the campus of Mercyhurst University in Erie, PA was selected to host the first ever NCBBA-W National Championship Tournament.  Eight teams advanced to the National Championship which took place Friday, April 22nd through Sunday, April 24th.  The event was determined to be an NCAA style single elimination, three-day tournament that ultimately determined the first ever NCBBA-W National Champion. Not only was a National Champion crowned, but on Saturday, April 23rd, the Tournament also featured the 1st annual NCBBA-W Skills Competitions and All Star Game.

Skills / All Star Competition

On Saturday April 23rd, the NCBBA hosted the 1st annual NCBBA-W Skills Competition.  Contestants from around the NCBBA-W competed in events such as a Three Point Competition, the NCBBA-W Obstacle Course, and the newly added Shooter’s Chaos. Following the Skills Competition, the 1st annual NCBBA-W All Star Game took place featuring participants from the NCBBA-W National Championship Tournament field.
